CosplayFiend

Just a quick update to share what I’ve been up to. I finally received my dress form from Joann’s the other day, and I’ve started re-working my Riza Hawkeye Jacket so that it fits better, and looks much better. I started working on it yesterday, and I have everything torn apart, and am working on putting it back together. I was originally just going to fix the sleeves, but the way the front panel sits bothers me, so I might just re-do it. I just hope I have enough spare fabric to do so, because if I don’t, I’ll be screwed. 

In other news: I’ve found someone to commission leather armor from. Billy, from my cosplay group, has been kind enough to offer his leather working services to help me re-do my Leliana cosplay. When this will take place, I’m not certain, but he has let me know that he wouldn’t mind helping. ^_^

Also, I’ve begun the search for the perfect Stewardess fabric for my Fifth Element cosplay. I think I’m going to go for a periwinkle neoprene fabric, so that it’s stretchy and also a bit futuristic. If you guys know a good place to buy neoprene in a variety of shades, please let me know. It’ll be my first time working with such a fabric, so I’m not really sure where to buy it, since Joann’s doesn’t carry it. 

FMA News: Lt. Hawkeye here. The Colonel and I have begun discussing plans for our Otakon photoshoots. This means, lots of fan service shots, and misc., other fun shots. Fangirls, prepare yourselves. We’re going to be infiltrating Baltimore soon. I will be doing a back tattoo photoshoot with the Colonel, and also a formal shoot with him as well. You’ll get to see us all fancied up, and parading around like we own Baltimore. xD

Thoughts? I’m still getting into the series, but I’m thinking maybe either Moka or the Succubus, perhaps? Anyone have thoughts on this?

Yep, you read it correctly, the shop is up and running. I only have 5 products available at the moment, but more on the way and lots of ideas on the sketch pad. I have business cards on the way to me, and I need to drop by the post office for shipping materials, but will do that later this week.

I just got started, so I don’t currently have any listings up yet, but I’m planning on selling small clay crafts, hand wrapped headbands, and maybe some simple zippered bags for storing small items, or cosmetics. Also potentially small cosplay accessories, but that’s kind of up in the air at the moment.

Just wanted to give you guys an update, and I’ll keep you all posted when I get my listings up and running! :D
